Damian Neylin

Damian Neylin is a partner in the audit practice and leads the asset management practice at PwC Ireland.

Damian advises European and US institutions and emerging managers on the establishment of Dublin domiciled funds, as well as funds from other domiciles administered in Ireland.

Damian has lectured widely in investment funds as well as authoring articles on this topic. He was until recently a member (and Chairman 2002/2003) of the Council of the Irish Funds Industry Association. He is also a member of An Taoiseach's IFSC Funds Group, a member of the Financial Services Ireland Executive and is past Chair of the Irish Financial Services Inter-Association Network. During 2006, Damian served on the EU's Expert Group on Hedge Funds.

Dervla has significant experience in preparing and reviewing business plans; undertaking sectoral studies; feasibility studies; socio-economic studies; market analysis assignments; organisational reviews; market entry strategies; and operational reviews.

Ken Owens

Ken Owens is a partner in the audit practice and specialises in the asset management industry.

Ken has extensive knowledge and experience advising clients including UCITS funds, hedge funds and private equity funds administered in Ireland.

Ken leads the PwC Dublin asset management regulatory practice and has led a number of regulatory projects advising clients in relation to: the establishment UCITS funds and non-UCITS funds; anti-money laundering compliance; compliance function effectiveness; investment firm authorisation; capital adequacy requirements; and cross border outsourcing. Ken is currently helping clients to address the implementation issues arising from the new UCITS IV directive.

Ken is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. Ken is a member of Irish Fund Industry Association's Governing Council and is also a member of the Investment Funds Listing Committee of the Irish Stock Exchange.
