Brian Neilan Brian Neilan is a partner in the audit practice and specialises in financial services. Brian leads the audit engagement for a number of high profile insurance clients with significant operations in Ireland as well as some investment and treasury companies. Brian's extensive expertise in the financial services industry enables him to assist business with the complex accounting issues that can arise in these areas. Brian has experience in complex insurance transactions, including retrospectively rated policies, unusual reinsurance contracts, captives, loss portfolio transfers, fronting arrangements and other structured transactions. In addition to his extensive knowledge of the reporting requirements under Irish and IFRS, Brian also has significant experience in regulatory matters having assisted several domestic and cross-border insurance companies to establish or restructure operations in Ireland and to deal with the related regulatory issues in Ireland and abroad. Brian is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. |
