Advisory - Risk Assurance Solutions

We work with our clients to measure, protect and enhance what matters most to them. We help our own people to learn, discover, develop and make a real difference all the way through their working lives. And we have big ambitions to grow.

What is Risk Assurance Solutions (RAS)?

In RAS we specialise in business process and system controls, internal audit, risk management, corporate governance and data assurance. We offer these services directly to clients as well as to the assurance teams on our largest audit clients. Our people use their business process, IT, data and project management skills to help improve our clients’ performance in terms of finance, technology, risk management and internal controls.

In RAS you’ll use your analytical skills to help all sorts of clients understand and deal with the risks they face.

What will I be doing every day?

You will review the adequacy of controls a client has in place to mitigate the many risks facing its business. You’ll help provide clients with a robust, reliable risk management framework that can, not only put in place the key controls a company needs, but also provide comfort through examination that key processes are providing reliable reports that enable management to make informed business decisions.

You’ll build specific skills across a number of our service areas:

  • Systems and Process Assurance
  • Data Services
  • Third Party Assurance
  • Internal Audit, and
  • Governance, Risk and Compliance

Alongside the Assurance teams, your Risk Assurance work may focus on examining the systems and controls a client has in place to support business processes, or assessing a client’s corporate governance and risk management structures. These factors not only make an organisation more robust, but also reassure investors about the integrity of financial information.

As you progress within RAS you could be offering guidance on IT security and controls, or the best way to structure an internal audit or risk management function. You will be afforded the opportunity to work across all the services areas within RAS and also with our colleagues in Consulting, Transaction Services and Corporate Finance.

Whatever projects you work on, one thing’s for sure: you’ll make a real difference to your clients’ success!

What will I get out of the job?

A chance to learn from talented people, work with high calibre clients and benefit from the best training and development around - and that's just for starters. You’ll also get plenty of variety and excellent development opportunities throughout your career. You'll quickly develop excellent communication, project management, business awareness and coaching skills. It's a great basis on which to build your career.

What skills will I develop?

Advising clients on important decisions calls for strong analytical, numerical, team-working and communication skills. Your confidence will grow as you develop these and build your understanding of business and any specialist area you might focus on.

What do I have to put in?

There's no doubt you'll have to work hard. We look for people who are willing to invest what it takes to build up analytical skills, confidence and knowledge of the business world through project work, training and development.
