Our state of the art Centre for Learning and Development is located in our purpose built offices in Spencer Dock and includes a suite of 11 training rooms. The Centre's full-time Learning & Development team is dedicated to:
- supporting our graduate intake in gaining their
professional qualifications;
- developing and coaching our graduates to give them a broad portfolio of technical, professional and interpersonal skills;
- ensuring our training is tailored to support the business in partnership with the development of the graduate;
- providing ongoing support, development and learning opportunities throughout the graduate training contract and
- supporting PwC's position as the number one professional services firm of choice in Ireland.

- Understands the concept of the PwC audit approach
- Applies PwC standard approaches, methodologies and tools in work assignments and documents
- Acquiring a basic foundation of business processes and controls

- Understands basic double entry book keeping
- Ready to undertake first set of professional exams

Senior Associate 1 - Outcome
- Capable of undertaking additional responsibility on audit assignments
- Developing strong technical knowledge and skills
- Acquiring a basic knowledge of company law
- Working as a full and proactive team member producing good documented audit evidence in accordance with PwC Standards and methodologies
- Ready to undertake second set of professional exams

- Capable of assuming role of incharge on low risk audit engagement
- Key role in the planning and execution of an audit engagement with the lead manager
- Managing a small team onsite with responsibility for all fieldwork
- Guides team members on application of PwC standard approaches and methodologies
- Addresses questions on straightforward technical matters from team members and clients
- Responsible for management of fieldwork engagement budget and economics
- Continuing to develop technical knowledge and skills
- Ready to undertake third set of professional exams

- Capable of assuming role of incharge on medium size or medium risk audit engagement
- Responsible for management of engagement fieldwork budget and economics
- Developing client interaction with senior client management
- Involved in planning, co-ordination and completion with lead manager
- Capable of initial drafting of client deliverables
- Identifies, anticipates and resolves technical issues within the context of client’s business

- Responsible for management of engagement fieldwork budget and economics
- Significant involvement in overall planning, execution and completion of audit engagement with engagement leader and manager
- Responsible for drafting well advanced client deliverables
- Capable of identification, research/consultation and documentation of solutions for complex audit and accounting issues within the context of the client’s business
- Building own relationships with senior client management

- Participating in tax reviews with an awareness of the issues to focus on and producing accurate and well referenced documentation for review

- Worked with peers in industry sector to analyse client issues and produce a comprehensive written report assessing the impact and making practical recommendations to the client
- Responsible for management of all aspects of the compliance work load, including risk management procedures and fee issues, with effective delegation to junior colleagues
- Mentoring and coaching junior colleagues
- Good project management skills on client work including projects requiring local specialist advice or overseas office input

- Manage the day to day client relationship

- Run internal meetings to agenda with documented follow up action
- Keep under review the day to day workload of junior staff and bring to attention of management group issues requiring attention
- Strong working capital management

- Develop relationships with colleagues within PwC Global Networks specific to area of expertise
