Paul Hennessy

Paul is the leader of our Energy and Renewables practice, responsible for the quality of our services to companies operating in this sector.

He leads the provision of our services to one of Ireland’s major utility companies. Leveraging over 20 years experience and several leadership roles in the private client sector, Paul also advises a number of energy infrastructure and renewable technology companies.

Paul has led a number of engagements for the EU in addition to a range of government departments and public sector organisations.

Ronan MacNioclais

Ronan has over 10 years experience advising Irish and international clients on tax technical issues.

He is the lead tax partner one of Ireland’s leading utility companies and also advises several international oil, gas and renewable companies.

Ronan also leads our mergers and acquisitions tax practice. He has significant experience in the preparation of vendor due diligence, tax due diligence, cross-border tax structuring, tax modelling and share purchase agreement negotiation and review.

Ronan has advised number of private equity firms on the tax efficient structuring of investments in the energy sector.

Aidan Walsh

Aidan Walsh is a partner in our Advisory practice and leads our Corporate Finance team.

Aidan has led the provision of Advisory services to some of Ireland’s leading energy sector players. He has acted as lead advisor to a range of public and private companies and public private partnerships on both financing and procurement issues.

He has also advised on assessing several significant investment and acquisition opportunities and disposals. Aidan has extensive experience in working with regulated businesses and in dealing with government departments.

Ann O'Connell

Ann is a partner in our Advisory Consulting practice. Prior to joining PwC in 1988, she worked in both operational and business planning roles in industry for 10 years.

Ann has extensive experience working with clients in the energy sector and leads the provision of our Advisory services to one of Ireland’s major utility companies.

Ann specialises in the provision of corporate and business planning activities, including strategic plans, change and project management, feasibility studies, public policy studies and market entry strategies.

She has advised a cross section of government departments, state-sponsored bodies, public companies and SMEs.
