PwC alumni golf outing

About the event

The programme for the day is as follows:

Registration and light breakfast in the clubhouse
1st shot gun start
2nd Registration and light refreshments at the clubhouse
2nd shot gun start
Drinks reception
Dinner and prize giving

Each team will be made up of three Alumni members and one PwC player who will be allocated by your competition coordinator. You will be allocated to a team unless you have already formed your own team.

Handicaps will be allocated to anyone who does not have an official club handicap.

The subsidised cost is €60 person but please note that there is no charge for members of Milltown Golf Club.

Payment can be made in advance by cheque, made payable to PricewaterhouseCoopers and mailed to Sharon O’Connor, One Spencer Dock, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1. Payment can also be made by cash, credit card or cheque on the day.

  1. Competition is a scramble/strokes format played from yellow tees
    1. All players drive, team selects one drive and that position is marked
    2. Each player then plays a shot from that position and so on until the hole is completed
    3. For shots from fairway your ball must be placed within six inches of where chosen ball lay
    4. For shots from the rough your ball must be dropped within one club’s length
  2. Each team must use three drives by each team member
  3. Mark the team’s gross score for each hole opposite the name of the team member whose drive was used
  4. Handicap allowance is 10% of the combined handicaps
  5. Highest men’s handicap is 24, highest ladies’ handicap is 36
  6. Prizes for 1st to 4th overall, best front nine, best back nine
  7. There is a Ladies and Men’s prize for the longest drive on the 10th hole
  8. There is a Ladies and Men’s prize for the competitor who has the tee shot which is nearest to the pin on the 4th hole. Please use the measuring tape and card provided to record the distance and your name
  9. Completed scorecard must be signed by two team members and should be returned to the competition organiser at the registration desk. In line with the clubhouse rules mobile phones are strictly forbidden on the golf course
  10. Golf shoes are not permitted to be worn in the clubhouse

  • Ladies & men’s longest drives on the 10th hole
  • Nearest the pin - there is a special prize for the competitor who shoots the tee shot which is nearest the pin on the 16th. Please use the measuring tape and card provided to record the distance and your name

Additional information

Dress Code
We would appreciate if players refrained from wearing trainers, jeans and rugby shorts as they are not appropriate forms of dress, however tailored shorts are permitted. Please ensure that you bring layers for all seasons, waterproofs are advisable. Golf shoes are not permitted in the clubhouse. The dress code for the evening is smart casual – jackets are required for dinner and drinks.

We would like to remind players not to leave their clubs unattended, particularly outside the clubhouse. Please store your clubs, on completion of your rounds, in the safety of your car. We would also advise that you do not leave valuables in the locker room.

Health & Safety
Remember to drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay fully hydrated and play at your own pace.
