Mark Carter

Mark Carter is a partner in the tax services practice and leads the HR services team, a team which assists organisations manage the financial, tax, regulatory, operational, risk management, and strategic challenges associated with human resources.

Mark has advised leading Irish and multinational clients across all sectors in relation to international workforce mobility, employment taxation, reward planning, resourcing, workforce rationalisation, as well as wider workforce and HR issues, including the HR aspects of corporate HQ migration. He leads the PwC series of HR business briefings and is a regular spokesperson in relation to people issues.

Mark has been involved in advising corporations in several industries on the people aspects of corporate migration projects. He also has extensive experience in international assignment policy development and expatriate programme services.

He is a member of Governance Committee of the PwC European HR Services Leadership Network. He is a former board member of a number of international business associations, including the Ireland Canada Business Association, and the International Committee of Dublin Chamber of Commerce. His overseas experience was gained with the PwC's global strategy team in PwC New York.

He is an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute, holds a Professional Diploma in Management, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Prior to PwC Mark worked in the Public Sector.

Gearóid Deegan

Gearóid Deegan is a partner in the tax services practice and specialises in HR services, a team which assists organisations manage the financial, tax, regulatory, operational, risk management, and strategic challenges associated with human resources.

Gearóid has extensive experience in advising on international workforce mobility, taxation, and reward planning matters. Gearoid specialises in share incentive arrangements and expatriate tax consulting. His clients include a cross section of indigenous Irish and multi-national organisations with international workforces (inpatriate and expatriate), where he has gained wide-ranging experience in advising companies on the associated cross border issues which arise with an international mobile workforce.

Gearóid is a Council Member and past Chairperson of the Irish ProShare Association and is a Fellow of the Irish Taxation Institute.

Mary O'Hara

Mary O'Hara is a partner in the tax services practice and specialises in HR services, a team which assists organisations manage the financial, tax, regulatory, operational, risk management, and strategic challenges associated with human resources.

Mary has extensive experience advising global organisations on employment tax, global mobility and workforce issues including immigration, taxation, social security and reward.

Mary is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. She is an active participant in PwC's European Reward Advisory Network and Global Immigration Network.

Pat Mahon

Pat Mahon is a partner in the PwC Ireland tax practice and specialises in HR services and employment taxes.

Pat assists local and international organisations manage the financial, tax, regulatory, operational, risk management and strategic challenges associated with human resources. In particular Pat has extensive experience in advising clients in all sectors on share based reward, social taxes, Revenue audits and international workforce mobility.

Pat is a member of the Advisory Group on Tax and Social Welfare established in 2011 by the Minister for Social Protection. He is also an Associate of the Irish Taxation Institute.
