PwC is delighted to announce that Jimmy Doyle has joined the Firm as a senior consultant in its corporate treasury group. Jimmy is one of the country’s most experienced treasurers, having spent over 25 years in the corporate and banking sectors. Jimmy has extensive experience in the development and implementation of treasury strategy and policies, as well as risk management and reporting. He is a founding member and former President of the Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers and has been very influential in developing the treasury profession in Ireland.

About Jimmy Doyle:
Jimmy Doyle is one of the country’s leading treasury specialist having 25 years experience in the corporate and banking treasury sectors. In September 2010 Jimmy retired from his position as Director, treasury, in Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Ltd where, as a member of the bank's senior treasury team, one of his main responsibilities was the development of the bank's funding programme.
He has worked in corporate and bank treasury for about 25 years and was previously treasury manager of Irish Life Assurance plc, then Ireland largest life company and fund management house. He has extensive experience of treasury management from both the corporate and bank viewpoint. He has been involved in the development of risk management, interest rate and foreign exchange hedging and funding strategies in his role. Prior to becoming Treasury Manager at Irish Life, Jimmy worked as funds accountant in the investment division. He also spent a number of years as portfolio manager for a number of Irish Life's large pension fund clients and was responsible for the management of the relationship with the funds' trustees and the asset allocation decisions for these funds.
Jimmy is a commerce graduate of UCD and has professional membership of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (UK).
Jimmy is a founder member and former President of the Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers (IACT) and continues to serve on their board. In 2008 the IACT bestowed honorary life membership status to him in recognition of his work in the development of the treasury profession in Ireland. This was only the third time the association has bestowed such an honour in its 24 year history.
Jimmy is a director of the European Association of Corporate Treasurers and is also IACT's representative to the International Group of Treasury Associations (IGTA). He was honoured with the chairmanship of the IGTA in 2011. Jimmy also serves on the editorial panel of the treasury publication TMI magazine.
