Garvan O'Neill
Garvan O’Neill is a partner in PwC’s financial services practice in Dublin
Garvan has over 20 years of experience in providing services to insurance, banking and capital market companies in Ireland. He has advised a range of life assurance, non-life insurance, reinsurance, investment intermediary, broker and banking operations, both international and Irish, on a wide variety of matters including strategy, establishment, solvency requirements, product design and investment structures. He leads PwC’s regulatory advisory practice and PwC’s pension group in Ireland.
Garvan has been the audit partner on a wide range of key industry players both in the domestic and cross-border international financial services sector.
Garvan is a member of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Global Regulatory Advisory Leadership Team and is a lead member on the European steering committee to develop solutions to address the challenges created for companies by Solvency II. He is a regular speaker and presenter on regulatory issues facing the financial services industry and is regularly published, most recently on the governance requirements of Solvency II.
Garvan is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and holds a B Comm and Dip. Prof. Acc. from University College Dublin.
