Our consulting summer internship programme
PwC’s internships are tailored to give our summer Interns the appropriate experience to make informed career decisions. We currently have positions available on our consulting internship programme. The programme will last ten weeks and will be based on our Dublin office at Spencer Dock.
Who is the consulting summer internship programme for?
This programme is open to students who are currently in the final year of their undergraduate degree or are completing a Masters programme.
What you will get out of the programme
Throughout the programme you’ll boost your commercial awareness, interpersonal skills and self-confidence. You’ll also develop a genuine understanding of what we do and how we do it. More importantly, you’ll discover whether PwC, and the type of work you could take on with us in our consulting practice, is right for you.
The programme will:
What we look for
We’re looking for the most talented students – outstanding academic achievers who aspire to or have obtained a first class honours degree and have at least a 2.1 track record to date. You’ll need to be able to show us how you’ve used your initiative and team working skills prior to, and during, university along with your creativity, sense of responsibility and commercial awareness. We'll expect you to have done your research on PwC and to understand the business environment in which we operate.
What you’ll gain
Our summer interns work in much the same way as the graduates who join our graduate programme. You’ll be exposed to a wide range of work and clients. You’ll be expected to make a valuable contribution throughout your time with us. If that sounds daunting, don't worry, you won't be thrown in at the deep end straight away.
Your programme will start with an in-depth induction where you’ll meet the other interns. This induction programme will ensure you have all the skills you'll need to fulfil your responsibilities. It will be a steep learning curve and you may feel stretched at times but we’ll provide all the support you need. For instance, you’ll have a 'buddy' to answer your questions and you’ll receive regular feedback on your performance.
Most importantly, our summer internship programme is designed to give you a real life view of what a graduate career with PwC would be like. You'll be able to experience firsthand if this is the industry for you. Beyond this, our aim is to raise your commercial awareness and your interpersonal skills to new levels. By experiencing life inside Ireland’s and the world’s leading professional services firm, you will develop many new skills and qualities that will be valuable for your future career. For PwC, it allows us to identify future graduates who have the intellectual curiosity and appetite to pursue a business career with us.
