About You

What Summer Internship opportunities are available?
PwC’s internships are tailored to give our Summer Interns the appropriate experience to make informed career decisions. During this tailored twelve-week programme your time is split between our Assurance and Tax practices or you can choose to specialise in our Advisory practice in Risk Assurance Solutions (RAS) or Consulting. All positions will be based in our Dublin office at Spencer Dock.

Who are the joint Assurance and Tax and Risk Assurance Solutions (RAS) Summer Internship programmes for?
If you’re in the penultimate year of your undergraduate degree or are in second year of a four year degree where a Co Op placement/Erasmus is mandatory in third year, then you have the opportunity to join our internship programme. It doesn't matter what your undergraduate degree is - PwC welcomes students from all degree disciplines.

Who is the Consulting Summer Internship programme for?
This programme is only for students who are currently completing a Masters programme and who will graduate from their Masters in 2012.

What we look for
We are looking for the most talented students – outstanding academic achievers who aspire to a first class honours degree and have obtained at least a 2.1 degree to date. You’ll need to be able to show us how you’ve used your initiative and team working skills prior to, and during university, along with your creativity, sense of responsibility and commercial awareness. We'll expect you to have done your research on PwC and to understand the business environment in which we operate.

What you’ll gain
Our Summer Interns work in much the same way as the graduates who join our Graduate programme. You will be exposed to a wide range of work and clients. You will be expected to make a valuable contribution throughout your time with us. If that sounds daunting, don't worry, you won't be thrown in at the deep end straight away. Your programme will start with an in-depth induction training programme where you will meet all the other interns joining us. This induction programme will give you all the skills you'll need to fulfil your responsibilities. It will prove a steep learning curve and you may feel stretched at times but we will provide all the support you need. For instance, you’ll have a 'buddy' to answer your questions and you will receive regular feedback on your performance. Most importantly, our Summer Internship Programme is designed to give you a real-life view of what a graduate career with PwC would be like. You'll be able to experience firsthand if this is the career for you. Beyond this, our aim is to raise your commercial awareness and your interpersonal skills to new levels. By experiencing life inside Ireland’s and the World’s leading professional services firm, you will develop many new skills and qualities that will be valuable for your future career. For PwC it allows us to identify future graduates who have the intellectual curiosity and appetite to pursue a business career with us.
