‘One of the most enjoyable aspects of my placement has been interacting with and getting to know like-minded people – both fellow interns and PwC employees – many of whom I’m confident I will remain in contact with for the foreseeable future. There is open, free communication and you feel comfortable talking even to partners and directors. ‘I would recommend the PwC Summer Internship Programme because of the invaluable experience which can be achieved from it. One can get a real and direct insight into what tax and assurance involves, and it can give a person a clearer view of the right path to take as regards their future career choice. The training received was also very useful, and it was also good to meet my fellow summer interns and form new relationships with people. The internship will give anyone a view into what working life consists of, and what skills are needed in order to be successful in your work. ’The firm had a genuine interest in the well being of employees. I always felt like I was looked after and had someone to turn to if I had questions or concerns. The work was interesting and challenging. The people I met were very welcoming and friendly. There is a very good atmosphere. Good social side also. I attended a few department events in the evenings and really enjoyed them and got to know a lot of people. PwC has a good relationship with clients. Through my experience, the clients respect the work PwC do and place a great deal of trust in the quality of their services.’
