‘One of the most enjoyable aspects of my placement has been interacting with and getting to know like-minded people – both fellow interns and PwC employees – many of whom I’m confident I will remain in contact with for the foreseeable future. I also thoroughly enjoyed the diverse and challenging work I did on various projects over the course of the twelve weeks. What I enjoyed most, however, about my PwC placement was the sense of pride and animation I felt in being part of the largest and, in my view most prominent, professional services firm in Ireland.’

‘I thoroughly enjoyed the summer internship programme here in PwC. The thing I enjoyed most was learning new things and being able to apply my knowledge and experience to working life. I began this journey convinced that I knew exactly what I wanted to do when I finish college, but now I know that there are so many different paths you can take within the accounting profession.’

‘I really enjoyed the hands-on work experience that the internship offered me. I was given really great exposure to real client work. This gave me a great insight into how PwC operates on a day to day basis. Additionally, I met some very experienced and knowledgeable professionals whilst working here and learnt a great deal from them during my time on the internship.’

‘Without doubt the thing I enjoyed most about PwC was the people. Everyone was very friendly and always willing to help and answer our many questions. The culture of the firm is also great. There is open, free communication and you feel comfortable talking even to partners and directors. Throughout the internship I really appreciated being given so much trust and responsibility which provided great motivation.’

‘I have enjoyed my time here in PwC immensely and will bring with me many positive messages. The friendly and cooperative business environment made my time here extremely enjoyable. Each member of staff is so welcoming and approachable. They encourage questions and make you feel comfortable. Everybody is willing to help even if they are not directly involved. This is extremely important for anyone joining a new work force and I believe that it is that environment which differentiates PwC from its competitors.’

‘It has been one of the best things I have done with regard to my future profession. I learned more here during the internship than in 3 years in college! It gave me a real flavour for the actual day to day work involved in this career, and the skills required to succeed.’
Summer Intern 2010
‘The thing I enjoyed most during my Summer Internship was without doubt, meeting new people and developing my skills. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and always willing to help. There is a real learning environment around the office with no-one hesitating to provide extra assistance when needed. People around me were more than willing to invest time in developing my skills.’
Summer Intern 2010
‘I would recommend the PwC Summer Internship Programme because of the invaluable experience which can be achieved from it. One can get a real and direct insight into what tax and assurance involves, and it can give a person a clearer view of the right path to take as regards their future career choice. The training received was also very useful, and it was also good to meet my fellow summer interns and form new relationships with people. The internship will give anyone a view into what working life consists of, and what skills are needed in order to be successful in your work. It also gave me the opportunity to meet some very inspiring figures in PwC Dublin, and to develop some skills of my own through the work that I did.’

’The firm had a genuine interest in the well being of employees. I always felt like I was looked after and had someone to turn to if I had questions or concerns. The work was interesting and challenging. The people I met were very welcoming and friendly. There is a very good atmosphere. Good social side also. I attended a few department events in the evenings and really enjoyed them and got to know a lot of people. PwC has a good relationship with clients. Through my experience, the clients respect the work PwC do and place a great deal of trust in the quality of their services.’
Summer Intern 2010
‘The overriding message I would give is that I could never have asked to work with kinder, friendlier, more helpful or more enthusiastic staff. Everyone I have met in PwC has been fantastic to work with and I consider myself truly fortunate to have met many of the people in the firm. This in itself is indicative of how well the firm treats its staff and how much they enjoy working for it. I also enjoyed working in many different areas of the firm and I would recommend the firm due to the variety of work on offer.’
