Investing in Ireland: Issue 43

24 June, 2020

About this edition

Welcome to the June 2020 edition of our newsletter on foreign direct investment (FDI) in Ireland.

In this edition, we look at investing in Ireland in the context of COVID-19 and its associated effects on the FDI sector. Notwithstanding the challenging economic environment caused by the coronavirus pandemic, a number of jobs and investment announcements over the last few months reflect continued growth and confidence in Ireland.

This issue summarises national initiatives designed to assist businesses affected by the COVID-19 crisis. We also look at Irish-US business relations which continue to grow, and explore the positive effect that EU membership has had on Ireland, a relationship that helps Ireland maintain its number-one ranking in a number of key areas for investment consideration.
