Indirect tax compliance in the digital era

Rapid changes in indirect tax obligations have made the business of keeping on top of compliance more difficult. Businesses must therefore continue to invest in the right technologies to help them remain fully compliant in the jurisdictions in which they work.

Businesses are also transferring their advanced tax functions to shared service centres (SSCs), which centralise tax reporting and provide sophisticated tax data analysis. This allows indirect tax specialists to focus on other value-add activities.

This paper, produced in collaboration with SAP, examines how global tax management solutions can facilitate the centralisation and standardisation of tax management, and how SSCs help businesses manage their global tax compliance obligations.
