Our assessment process typically involves the following steps for our summer internship and graduate positions:

1. Online Application – Submit your application via our website.

2. Screening Review – Our team reviews your application to ensure it meets the role requirements.

3. Online Assessment – You may be asked to complete an online assessment via SHL.

4. Personal Interview – Successful candidates will be invited for an competency based interview to discuss their skills and experience.

5. Offer – At any stage of the process, you can request reasonable adjustment where appropriate and we will ensure timely communication to help you through each step.

Work Placements:

For our work placement programme, we follow each university's individual process, which may vary; however, you can expect to complete several of the steps outlined above.

Yes, you can apply for multiple roles. However, we strongly encourage you to take the time to carefully review each job description, including the line of service and any potential associated exam pathways. This will help you identify the roles that best align with your skills, interests and long-term career goals.

We’ve included a section in the application to record your subject results. Some subjects are grouped:

• ‘Language’ includes French, Spanish, German, Chinese, Russian, Polish, Italian, etc.
• ‘Business studies’ includes economics, business, accounting, etc.
• ‘Technology sciences’ includes technology, engineering, home economics, design and communication graphics, and construction studies.
• ‘Laboratory sciences’ includes physics, chemistry, biology, agricultural science, and physics and chemistry combined.
• Irish, geography and history are not grouped.

If a subject you’ve completed is not listed, please select ‘Other’.

We know interviews can be daunting, but a little preparation goes a long way. Be yourself, take your time, and remember: your interviewers just want to get to know you — and they’ve been in your shoes. Here are some tips to help you prepare.

Online tests:

We encourage candidates to practice these tests in advance to maximise their chances of success. The assessments include the Verify Assessment (cognitive) followed by the General Skills Assessment (GSA). Sample practice tests are available here: specifically, look for the "General Ability Test (Mobile-Enabled Interactive Version) (SVI G+)" and the "Behavior-Based Assessment (GSA).

Interviews:

Be yourself, take your time, and remember: your interviewers just want to get to know you — and they’ve been in your shoes. Here are some tips to help you prepare.

• Understand our business: familiarise yourself with our services and recent projects
• Know why you chose PwC: be ready to discuss what attracts you to our firm
• Highlight your transferable skills: think about experiences from academic projects, part-time jobs or leadership roles that demonstrate your potential
• Practice the STAR technique (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your answers.
• Interviews go both ways — ask about what matters to you and get to know us.
