I completed an internship with PwC during my third year of college and had such a positive experience. I learned so much and everyone was so welcoming and friendly. I was offered a graduate position with the firm at the end of my internship and didn't think twice about accepting it. PwC has a really accepting culture that promotes equality and fairness for all. A culture I am proud to be a part of. The working environment is really positive and motivating, managers and senior leaders are approachable and there is a real sense of comradery in the organization. That is why I really enjoy working within my team and as part of the wider community, as there is always someone to turn to if you need help.
I really enjoy the work I do. I get to work with clients from all industries on a number of challenges their organisation might be facing and we help them to solve those challenges. Taking part in the PwC graduate programme has taught me about the way I work, but also how other people work too; there's no one 'right' way to do something and that is why we work in teams to get the job done. There's always something happening at PwC. There's a very active Sports and Social Committee which has come up with some really great initiatives to keep us all connected and create a work-life balance that gives us a way to disconnect from our laptops and phones.
Coming from a science background, I wanted a graduate programme that would support me throughout my career transition as well as providing me with the best training. I picked PwC's graduate programme for these reasons. One of the big benefits for me of joining PwC's graduate programme is the training and support provided. This support has enabled me to develop greater knowledge of various industries and gain a wide skill set.
The programme is well-structured, supported and efficient for personal and professional development. There are clear progression opportunities through ongoing training and the chance to get involved with a variety of different projects.
PwC always stood out as a leader for me in terms of graduate programmes. The vast experience you receive, from the work to the training, is hugely helpful in developing a career. There is a real focus on exam support and I found this is a great help in the lead up to sitting exams. In my role I get to work with different people on different engagements, this helps me to get to know more people in PwC, and makes every engagement different. I am so happy I joined PwC for my graduate programme, the experience of working and training I have received has given me the skills needed to build my career.
