The Galway Technology Centre, established 28 years ago, is the largest and longest established social enterprise centre of excellence for the technology scale up sector in the West. Founded to meet the needs of an emerging cluster of ICT companies, it provides scaling enterprises in the region an opportunity to engage, collaborate and share ideas for future growth. Now rebranded Platform94, it has just completed an exciting extension project, providing 16 unique new office spaces for client companies to use as they develop their ideas to scale-up their businesses.

Mairead Connolly, Partner, PwC Midwest, said: “We are delighted to partner with Platform94 to launch the PwC Media Suite. This is a significant and very exciting investment for our firm in Galway. Through the PwC Media Suite we are providing tech enabled support to help scaling companies elevate their businesses to the next level, as they look to new markets locally and internationally.

“The West is known as a haven of entrepreneurial and scale up activities, particularly in the tech, med tech and creative industries. Through our partnership we also hope to support ‘Brand West’ more broadly as a choice location for investment.”

Platform94 Acting CEO, Noreen Conway, commented:  “We are incredibly excited to announce the launch of our new PwC Media Suite. Platform94 is the centre of excellence for scaling businesses in the West of Ireland, and a place where businesses can access expertise and supports to help them grow effectively and create highly skilled jobs in the region.

“Platform94 is determined to assist our members in developing their storytelling capability and we see the new PwC Media Suite as a key enabling tool for this. Company founders are innovators and are constantly being asked to make their elevator pitch, and increasingly this will be digitally. The addition of the PwC Media Suite will enable SMEs to reach a global audience and to polish and refine their storytelling, in support of our commitment of Global Ambition, Local Support. I would like to thank Mairead Connolly and the wider PwC team for their support in making this happen.”
