Kieran has over 30 years experience working exclusively with Private Clients and their families on a range of tax matters such as succession planning, business sales, restructuring of assets/businesses, property matters, structuring of investments and is a member of our dedicated PwC Private team.

In 1997, Kieran co-founded Kennelly & Twomey, a specialist firm of Private Client Tax Advisers.  Kennelly & Twomey became Twomey Moran in 2010, a firm set up with his partner David Moran.

Prior to setting up Kennelly & Twomey, Kieran spent over 8 years in the Private Client Departments of both Price Waterhouse and Coopers & Lybrand, advising a portfolio of blue-chip individual clients on various aspects of taxation.

Kieran is a Council member (non-executive director) of the Irish Taxation Institute, having been elected to that role three times.  Over the last 30+ years,  Kieran has lectured on tax, spoken at conferences and has written articles on many tax issues.

In 2022, Kieran was Chairman of Main TALC (for the second time), the tax administration liaison body made up Revenue and professional bodies who advise on tax.  Kieran is currently Chairperson of the Irish Taxation Institute LCD Network.  This is a small team that meet regularly with Revenue’s Large Cases Division to review and clarify current issues between tax advisers and Revenue.

Kieran is an AITI Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) and a member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners)
