PwC is delighted to announce the renewal of its ongoing partnership with Leinster and Ireland rugby star Garry Ringrose for 2019. The extension of the relationship will see Ringrose positioned at the heart of PwC’s rugby activity across the year both for PwC internal and external events.
The announcement comes off the back of a stellar year for Ringrose having played a key role in Ireland’s successful Grand Slam campaign, Australian tour victory and a first win for the national team over New Zealand on Irish soil. He was also a key cog in the Leinster wheel as they completed an historic double of the European Champions Cup and Guinness Pro 14.

Developing young talent is a strategic imperative for PwC Ireland. Whether through its Graduate and Intern Programmes or its corporate sponsorships, PwC has a clear ambition to nurture the aspirations of future leaders in business and in sport. As part of its commitment to nurturing young talent, PwC is proud sponsor of the Ireland U20 rugby team, a team Ringrose himself was a member of just a few short years ago.
Ringrose was at PwC’s head office in Dublin today where the renewal of the partnership was announced by Feargal O'Rourke, Managing Partner of PwC Ireland.
Speaking at the event Feargal O’Rourke, Managing Partner, PwC, said; “As a firm we aim to think beyond the ‘now’, constantly innovating what we do and we are delighted to renew our partnership with Garry in what promises to be an exciting year for Irish rugby. His knowledge and insight will bring our 2019 Irish Rugby campaign to another level. As a business, one of our core values is to ‘make a difference’, and Garry epitomises this every time he takes the field. He has progressed from being an underage star to becoming a household name around the country. We are planning an exciting schedule of events with Garry for our clients, our people and their families to enjoy.”
“We look forward to working with Garry in the coming months and wish him all the best in what is sure to be another great year for Irish Rugby.”
Garry Ringrose added; “I’ve really enjoyed working with PwC over the last two years and am delighted to continue the relationship. I’ve seen at first-hand what PwC does to nurture young talent and I’m looking forward to being involved with PwC throughout 2019 which is a big year for me and for Irish rugby.”
