The firm’s Strategic Alliances practice works with the firm’s alliance partners providing technology solutions that support its clients with transformation projects in areas such as Finance, HR, Customer and Cloud transformation, ESG and Cyber. Joseph and Dimitri will be responsible for leading professional relationships with Microsoft and SAP, respectively, to further deliver transformation projects for PwC clients.

This investment follows the launch of PwC Ireland’s dedicated GenAI Business Centre enabled by Microsoft in November 2023 as well as a PwC network investment of over US$1 billion in 2023 to expand and scale the global firm’s generative AI capabilities in collaboration with Microsoft. In addition, PwC globally has been recognised as a winner and finalist in multiple categories of Microsoft’s Partner of the Year 2024 Awards - in particular PwC won the award for ‘Building with AI Partner of the Year’. The Awards acknowledge PwC’s leadership in transforming some of the world’s largest companies with its holistic business advisory services and Microsoft technology.

PwC globally also is a long standing SAP Platinum Partner. In 2024 alone PwC received the prestigious SAP Pinnacle award and SAP innovation award for its commitment to excellence and innovation. PwC Ireland is committed to working closely with SAP and the firm’s shared clients to bring excellence and innovation across sectors and business functions, in order to unlock the value of AI and its applications for its SAP customers.

Aisling Curtis, Market Leader for PwC Ireland’s Strategic Alliances, said: “These strategic appointments will help develop stronger relationships with Microsoft and SAP accelerating PwC’s ability to deliver Business led tech-enabled business transformation projects for its clients. We look forward to working with Joseph and Dimitri.”

Robert Byrne, Technology Partner, PwC Ireland, added: “Reflecting the important role that strategic alliance relationships play in PwC Ireland’s continued growth, the firm continues to invest heavily in developing stronger relationships with our alliance partners and also deeper technology delivery capabilities.”
