PwC Ireland is delighted to announce two new Partners in its Aviation Finance Practice.

John Neary rejoins the firm as a tax partner in PwC Ireland’s Aviation Finance practice. He specialises in corporate taxation in the aviation leasing and finance industry and has significant experience advising on domestic and international taxation leasing matters. John rejoins PwC from Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), where he was most recently Head of Tax.
Fiona Regan was appointed a tax partner in PwC Ireland’s Aviation Finance practice on 1 July 2025. Fiona advises a broad range of clients on international tax matters with a specific focus in the corporate taxation of aircraft and engine lessors and advising on domestic and international taxation matters.
Speaking about the appointments, Brian Leonard, PwC Ireland Leader for Aviation Finance, commented: “I am delighted to see the strengthening of expertise and talent in our Aviation Finance practice with these two strategic appointments. John Neary rejoins PwC Ireland as a Tax Partner in the firm’s Aviation Finance team. He specialises in corporate taxation in the aviation leasing and finance industry and has significant experience advising on domestic and international taxation matters, including international tax structuring. John has worked with international aviation leasing clients on a wide range of tax matters such as foreign investor structuring, tax considerations in capital markets transactions, foreign tax transaction issues and due diligence.
John is particularly focused on investment opportunities for Ireland from an Asian and Middle Eastern perspective and was previously based in Hong Kong with the PwC Mainland China and Hong Kong firm, in addition to working as Head of Tax in a Middle Eastern based aircraft lessor.
John is an Associate of Chartered Accountants Ireland and the Irish Taxation Institute.
Fiona Regan was admitted as a Tax Partner in PwC Ireland’s Aviation Finance practice with effect from 1 July 2025. Fiona has 14 years’ experience in advising a broad range of clients on international tax matters with a specific focus on aircraft leasing and financing related matters. Fiona is particularly focused on investment opportunities for Ireland from a US perspective. She specialises in the corporate taxation of aircraft and engine lessors and has significant experience in advising on domestic and international taxation matters, including the acquisition, establishment and management of Irish-based aircraft leasing platforms and the taxation of capital markets transactions. Fiona's clients include some of the world’s largest and most established aircraft leasing companies as well as a number of latest market entrants.
Fiona is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and an Associate of the Irish Tax Institute.
