Leadership programme for women to reach their potential with tech

Today, 25 graduates receive their certificates marking completion of the newly established Technology Ireland Digital Skillnet Nova Programme in partnership with CWIT.  This important leadership programme for women in tech aims to redefine how Ireland develops high-performing women leaders in tech, giving women the skills these leaders will need over the coming decade.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, hosted by PwC, Naomi Ryan, CWIT Retain Co-Lead and Director at PwC Ireland, said: “As a member of Connecting Women in Tech, PwC is delighted to celebrate the first 25 graduates of the Technology Ireland Digital Skillnet Nova Programme.  Programmes like NOVA play a vital role in strengthening the pipeline of female technology leaders and helping to build a more diverse and innovative technology sector. We hope this inaugural cohort will inspire and empower many more women to step into leadership roles in the years ahead.”

Sheila Byrne, Programme Lead at Digital Skillnet, added:

“Created by Technology Ireland Digital Skillnet in partnership with Connecting Women in Tech (CWIT), NOVA was built to address a significant leadership gap in Ireland’s technology sector. With women still underrepresented in advanced digital skills and senior tech leadership roles, we know the solution is investment in people. These 25 women joined NOVA already excellent at their jobs,  but what they have acquired since is the judgement to lead through AI-driven change, not just the technical know-how.”
