Colum Carr

Colum Carr leads the Aviation Finance Advisory Services (AFAS) team at PwC Ireland. His career in aviation finance spans more than 30 years. During this time, Colum has worked with a major lessor, a financial services company and as an advisor. His clients included investors, lenders, lessors and airlines, and his work ranged from raising capital to advising on and hedging financial risks, and restructuring and improving business operations. Colum has a particular interest in the Japanese market, where he has raised finance from banks, lessors, and both Japanese operating lease (JOL) and Japanese operating lease with call option (JOLCO) investors.

Prior to joining the AFAS team, Colum managed a joint venture advisory company, which was established by a leading advisor and two major airlines to advise airlines and lessors on the acquisition and financing of new aircraft. The company also assisted lenders in developing their portfolios. In addition, Colum's experience includes building an asset management platform and holding board-level advisory roles.
