Managing Partner, PwC Ireland (Republic of)
Feargal O'Rourke is the Irish Firm's Managing Partner and leads the PwC Ireland Leadership Team. He is also a member of the firm's EMEA Leadership Team.
Previously, Feargal was Head of the Firm's Tax practice and has been a Partner since 1996. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, an Associate of the Irish Tax Institute and a graduate of University College Dublin.
Feargal has over 20 years partner experience of advising multinationals investing in Ireland on Irish issues and European and Global structures. He has a particular focus on the West coast of the US and acts for a number of household names from that region.
He also has advised a number of private, public and State companies on various tax and business issues over that time.
Feargal is a board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ireland and chairs the Tax working group.
He served for 7 years on the board of Forfas, the State body responsible for the development of Industrial policy and the Development of Science and Technology. In 2004 Feargal was appointed by the Government as one of Ireland's “independent persons of standing” under the terms of the Double Taxation Arbitration Convention, a position which he still holds. He was also a member of the Government's Commission on Taxation which sat in 2008/09.
